Nurses include all practicing nurses (registered nurses, licensed practical nurses or equivalent, psychiatric nurses, and nurse practitioners). An Associate Group of the Canadian Nurses Association, CANE/AIIE works to:

  • facilitate knowledge sharing and transfer based on environmental health principles and nursing best practices
  • support evidence-based environmental health practice
  • influence policy development and legislation to support environmental nursing practice
  • promote educational and research opportunities for nurses

We have been advocating champions against asbestos production and use world-wide. We also share our knowledge to create awareness and action to ensure that the public knows the significant damage to health of asbestos production and use.
