Clinical practice guidelines are decision tools created by medical experts to explain a disease and pull together the best available evidence on the treatment and care of cancer patients. By explaining the pros and cons of available treatment and management options, these guidelines help healthcare professionals make evidence-informed decisions on patient care. A number of organizations in Canada and internationally publish their clinical practice guidelines online. This section of the site provides links to webpages maintained by these organizations. Included are links to the clinical practice guidelines “home” pages, as well as links to specific guidelines on the treatment and/or management of malignant mesothelioma, where available. The CMF has provided these links for your convenience and not as an endorsement of the information contained therein.
